Dear Diary, Back to my dad. I don't understand his ways. Whenever he meets one of the other big males his legs to stiff, he tips his head slightly up, holds his ears straight back and lets out a low wail. He's answered in a similar fashion. There's no backing down for either of the guys until a fight erupts or Carol walks out and intervenes. My human's not afraid of the guys. She boldly walks between them, scolding them for their behavior. But when she's not around the fur flies. My dad limped for a week the last time he tangled with one of the other males. I don't understand the purpose. Who's he out to impress? The females usually go the other way when a fight starts. And it's not like the other guys take off and leave the farm to my dad. When mating time comes around, each of the guys takes their turn. So what's the purpose?
